Common Concerns About Residential
Treatment
Near Cincinnati

Someone at work will find out.

Federal law (42 CFR Part 2) bars us from confirming you are here to anyone without your written authorisation — employers included. The campus is gated and set back from the road. For licensed professionals, the professionals program handles board and licensing questions directly, and The Ridge is OPHP-approved.

I can’t step away from my business.

Some people can’t, and outpatient exists for that reason. But most clients who say this are already losing hours to drinking and the recovery around it. The assessment is free and confidential — start there before deciding the timing is impossible.

We’re out-of-network. This will cost a fortune.

Out-of-network does not mean uncovered. PPO plans cover out-of-network addiction treatment under the Mental Health Parity Act; the question is what percentage. Admissions verifies your specific benefits and tells you the actual out-of-pocket number before you commit to anything.

Cincinnati Addiction Treatment Center FAQ

  • Where exactly is The Ridge located?

The campus is at 25 Whitney Drive, Suite 120, Milford, OH 45150 — about 20 minutes east of downtown Cincinnati and roughly 15 minutes from the I-275 outerbelt. It sits on 51 private acres in Clermont County, gated and set back from the road. Most clients drive in from across the Cincinnati metro, Northern Kentucky, and as far as Dayton and Columbus.
  • Is The Ridge inpatient or outpatient?

Both, on the same campus. The Ridge runs medical detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and standard outpatient, plus aftercare. Most clients start at a higher level and step down as they stabilise. The point of running the full continuum on one property is that stepping down doesn’t mean changing facility, clinical team or case manager.
  • Which insurance plans do you work with?

The Ridge is primarily out-of-network with major PPO carriers, and regularly works with Anthem BCBS, Cigna, Medical Mutual, GEHA, Custom Design Benefits, Ohio Healthy, Beacon, Humana, Optima Health and UMR. We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, admissions works to secure the maximum available coverage and will tell you your actual out-of-pocket cost before you commit.
  • Do you treat professionals who need to protect a license?

Yes. The Ridge is approved by the Ohio Physicians Health Program, and the professionals program is built for clients whose licensure is at stake — physicians, nurses, attorneys, pilots and executives. Confidentiality is governed by 42 CFR Part 2, which is stricter than HIPAA for addiction treatment records.
  • Can family be involved in treatment?

Yes, and it is encouraged. Family therapy sessions are coordinated through your case manager, and family contact is arranged from the first week. Involvement is always subject to the client’s written authorisation — nothing is shared with anyone, family included, without it.
  • What happens on the first call?

A confidential assessment, at no cost. Admissions asks about substance use history, medical background, any mental health diagnoses, and what your work and family situation looks like. From that they recommend a level of care and verify your insurance benefits. Available 24/7 on (513) 457-7963. More on what to expect from the admissions process.
